因天公不作美，boston狂下雨，延賽兩次，這次第三次終於開打了。
維尼在前三局，表現相當出色，令人激賞，
尤其屢屢面對洋基的強力打者，總能適時以strikeout解決。
也讓人覺得，維尼終於突破往日對洋基的苦手了！
不過，第四局，連續讓兩人上壘後，卻被nady一轟出去，
三分砲也讓維尼下了不完美的ending。

為充分準備四天後的季後賽，維尼投完73球就下場。
期待季後賽的維尼，也能像今天前三局這麼亮眼。

It started with a ball, a well-placed slider just at the knees of Alex Rodriguez in the top of the fourth inning.

The offering from Daisuke Matsuzaka looked to be the third strike of a full count with one out. 
Instead, Rodriguez found himself on base, along with Bobby Abreu.

It was, in effect, a final tuneup game for Dice-K before he enters the postseason this week --

Matsuzaka knew that he'd likely pitch just four frames in the contest, and he threw well-executed pitches all the way through.

He took the loss, but it was hardly a matter of poor pitching. 
This time around, he found himself opposing a determined Mike Mussina, 
who was looking for the first 20-win season of his career.

Mussina cruised through the Sox lineup, scattering just three hits while striking out three and walking two.

Two of those hits belonged to Dustin Pedroia, who laced singles in the first and third innings en route 
to a 2-for-4 day. He was the lone source of offense for the Sox through the first seven innings as he 
chased Joe Mauer in the American League batting race.

a game that might not even take place if the White Sox lose on Monday to Detroit -- for Pedroia to have a shot.

The MVP candidate has 213 hits, tying him with the mark set by Jim Rice in 1978 for fourth in team history. 
Those 213 hits also tie him with Ichiro Suzuki for the most in the AL this season.

It wasn't until the eighth inning, against reliever Joba Chamberlain, that the rest of Boston's lineup

put runners in scoring position with the game still 3-0.

The Sox drew within one after Bay scored on a Chris Carter groundout and Kotsay headed home on a

beginning the postseason in Anaheim. Especially for Matsuzaka, the short-lived starter who took
